*These stackable drawer containers can be a cost-effective and space-saving alternative for a leopard gecko enclosure.

The mesh vent top is optional especially If using as a stack rack to house multiple leopard geckos, so you can always choose to add additional holes along the sides of the enclosure to increase airflow.

I'm in no way an art & craft expert so you can choose to sand/file down the cutout edges so it won't be sharp as well as have a neat appearance (This is just a cost-effective option that worked for me and you can feel free to explore or check out any other options that may be available on Youtube)

Note: To prevent the heat mat cable from snagging and pulling the heat mat off when opening the drawer - I simply tape my heat mat underneath the inner slide drawer but be sure to cut a small hole in the back of the outer (black) encasement enough to pass the heat mat cord and plug through so the heat mat cable can flow freely whenever opening or closing the inner drawer.

When I rescued Solara she was housed in a tiny 5 1/2 gallon tank with only 1 hide, but now she truly enjoys this much larger enclosure with all her needs met and I also let my Leopard Geckos out a few times a week for play and bonding time. You may have noticed in the PIP clips of the video she's comfortable utilizing all hides in her enclosure😊

See Example Links⬇️

(Or Simply use a Hot Knife and Drill Bit to make the air holes)

Looks good and for sure cost effective. I might do this if I can ever convince my husband how I need a new reptile in my life. lol

Such a good idea. Couldn't believe how much reptile enclosures cost for these little guys when I got my first one a few years back. Reptile stores really mark up the prices for terrariums. Something like this is so simple and cost effective and looks to me like a better option since it was difficult for me to move a heavy glass terrarium. Thanks for the video!

Kev, thank you for making these videos. I find them interesting, soothing, and informative as well as incredibly sweet because of the way you care for and speak to your pets. It's so obvious that you love them very much and it warms my heart. Always looking forward to more stuff from you and your pets. :)

This was an awesome video, very well thought out. The possibilities are endless especially if used as a rack system for breeding projects. So much available room compared to what so many abusers do out there.

Hey, odd question, but what's the average air humidity over there? Asking because, here where I live the humidity goes into the sixties and sometimes reaches 70% and from what I've gathered it's bad for them, should be at about 30-40%. I'm thinking I should get a heat mat and a ceramic heater, to hopefully lower that, whenever I'm able to buy a leo, but I'm not sure if these could work at the same time in this type of enclosure. Although I've seen people living in such high humidity conditions don't really bother lowering it and their geckos seem fine, so I'm not sure what to do. Dehumidifiers are also a bit out of my budget lol

Thank you so much for this video, I've been looking for a space-wise but comfortable alternative to glass enclosures for my leos =) I'll be trying this soon. Is there a particular mesh you would recommend for this?

This is awesome!! I'm currently looking to upgrade my leo's enclosure but for whatever reason, you slap the name "reptile" on a glass box and it becomes $100. Definitely going to be doing this!! Can I ask what heat system you use and how you got it to work with the sliding drawer? I use a heat mat currently, and was wondering how all of that would work with cords and what not.

Could you post a video of how you have your heat mat? Does it warp the plastic?

Hi. I really love this idea but I also have a spare 10 gallon. Do you think it would be about the same space as a 10 gallon on its side? Thanks.
