I’ve started learning ASL from Bill Vicara just within the last month and I can already hold a very basic conversation! His content is amazing I absolutely recommend it, and you can learn at any time and at your own pace!

Genuinely thank you so much. My best friend has a high chance of going deaf(genetics) and I want to surprise him by learning ASL to show him that even if he goes deaf it won't change how much I love him.

i love dr vicars- lifeprint is one of my favorite free tools, especially since it goes beyond just vocabulary- one of the first things they get into in the lessons is deaf culture, which is super important :)

thanks for these resources!

i just found Bill’s channel this morning, it’s helped me even understand parts of your signing in this video!

Handspeak is an online dictionary that has over 100, 000 American English words translated into asl. I learned from that, then picked up the accent and dialect from my particular region from the local deaf community.

Good to know that Bill Vicars' course is a good one. I started the first video of his ASL 1 series a while back. I keep going back to it but can never seem to get video one to stick in my head well enough that I feel comfortable moving on. I need to work on it some more, lol.

I'm enrolled in the ASL 1 class via Oklahoma School for the Deaf and it's been AMAZING. I've casually learned ASL since I was a kid and already in the first few lessons I've learned SO MUCH.

I started from the beginning again last summer, after taking a few ASL courses when I was in my 20's (I'm now late 50's). Lifeprint (with Bill Vicars) has been an amazing course for me. I'm on lesson 16 and now starting to turn the volume off on your videos to see how much I can understand without your voicing. I'm not QUITE there because you are so beautifully fast and fluent, but I'm getting there. Thank you for your wonderful content!

I actually just applied to OSD yesterday. It was the deadline and I need the class to help out a deaf person in my church. We’re actually starting back the ASL ministry again!
