Disclaimer: if y’all want to become fluent in ASL, online classes are not going to cut it. In my opinion, you need to take classes in person, face to face, where you can receive feedback from teachers and improve. You also need to sign and interact with the Deaf Community to continue to develop your skills and learn faster. Online classes are a good start, but they don’t replace this. ❤

Liz, you have taught me so many little, basic signs to help with daily conversation in ASL and i can't wait to use these resources as well! I'm an ASL 3 student now and I'm so excited to keep learning!

Bill Vicars is the best! I've learned so much from his website and videos. Not just pure ASL but bits about Deaf culture too + I love his subtle humor as well.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! definitely will be checking out the others as well.

I know this really isnt your expertise, but if you (or anyone else here) know about similar resources for Auslan (Australian sign language), please let me know!

ASL is actually really good for people who are mute or sometimes mute too! Im autistic and have periodic voluntary muteness. I wanted to learn ASL with my family to support my muteness. I learn from YouTube channels and am going to start in person soon. Btw love your channel!

Tysm❤ I've thought of learning ASL many times. I wanna talk to deaf and mute people but I also think that I'd be more comfortable with signing than with talking in many situations.

My ASL 3 class at city college just started, teacher Deaf, it's going amazingly, sooo much practice with immediate feedback. That's huge, fixing mistakes before they get stuck in head, also having someone there who can adapt to anything makes such a difference.
