Hi guys, I just wanted to step in here and state the obvious for whom who has not tried it yet… This method only works if the target computer has the application already installed (Aka It doesn’t) I had to test it to make sure I was right… As I can only use it on my house, computer any other computer it is plugged into either Mac or Windows does not automatically bring up my video or photos or text, only the USB obtains a text file made for the application to read

Cool tutorial, but it didn’t inject keystrokes. It just opened a notepad file with pre written stuff in it. However, you could just write a quick python script with the keyboard library, convert it to an exe and then have the software run that.

That's pretty cool. But the result is pretty different from what a USB rubber ducky does. Here you are using a payload which consist on a vbs/bat/ps1 file. This will probably alert the user if there's an AV also maybe stopping the script's execution. Also you cannot deal with behavioural analysis.

a PID (Rubber Ducky) mimics a keyboard, allowing for injection of payload script as if it were being typed by an actual keyboard, whereas this takes advantage of the autoplay/autorun feature on PCs. This can easily be defeated by turning off autoplay/autorun in settings > autoplay. Very cool proof of concept in exploiting that vulnerabilty though. BTW... autoplay is on by default with a prompt for action.

Would you please confirm if it's capable of autorunning in a foreign system?I don't have one so I can't say..In my PC, a program named supervisor needed to run in the background for the autorun thing to work, so it kind of depended on another software, which clearly won't be installed in my victim's PC.

i tried plugging it in but wouldnt work, i opened the file "openfile" and ran the application and it gave the error "no filename specified"

I think that windows banned this Autorun thing and it only works when you have the program installed on your computer. When you try to plug it in to diffrent computer it is not working at all.

Interestingly, it only works in your computer in which autorun app is installed. It does not auto run in normal windows pcs(
