As a Navy veteran I can confirm this is true. It's how we figure out if we need to stand up shifting left or stand up shifting right when the ship is in motion. 🤣

I’m in the navy and I can say that’s not how we wake up. We wake up by falling out of our racks as the ship rocks side to side.

At the Air Force, training costs an average of 5-10 million dollars per pilot and ~2.5 million dollars per ground operator, and the government spends around 15-30 million dollars in jet operation/maintenance costs per year per plane, planes that also happen to cost from 60 million dollars all the way up to 2 billion dollars. Not to mention that fighter pilots get paid six figures…
