What is Daoism and What is the Yin and Yang Symbol Mean?

This video is meant to be shared and discussed with your friends and in religious study groups. I have prepared a leader's guide for the group to give the leader answers to the questions in the participant's guide. The start of this video features Bruce Lee expressing Daoist philosophy, but I am not sure if Bruce was actually Daoist. The rest of the video is a short film made by Marina Shokry that introduces the founder of Daoism, the religion's growth and spread, and the central beliefs and practices of Daoism.

BTW - Daoism and Taoism are the same religion in case any of you were wondering. Daoism is based on the Chinese pronunciation.

I have a question. For Yin & Yang, which is left and which is right. I'm asking because I have these 2 earrings I just bought, one black and one white, so when I look at myself in the mirror it reminds me to keep balanced. I want to know so when Im wearing it I don't want to look ignorant.

I gotta say i think Taoism is a much healthier belief system than Christianity, a lot less problematic and prone to being corrupted. Christianity has beautiful elements which can be very positive and helpful to humanity, unfortunately i think it is has a number of fundamental flaws that have led to much suffering and cultural self righteousness. I much prefer the Taoist approach as it is fundamentally less problematic and has a healthy respect for nature. Many of the teachings of Jesus are great if not corrupted, unfortunately most Christians tend to latch onto concepts like hell, sin, judgment, afterlife etc. Instead of love, forgiveness and tolerance of other cultures and beliefs in this life.

Is there a meaning for youtube "3D yinyang via tetrahedron falsework"? It can be geometrically constructed by the same rules. The 2D yin yang can be constructed by putting 2 (the minimum) of the largest tangent equal size circles that will fit in a enclosing circle, then semicircles are removed from each hemisphere of the large circle and eyespots are added. For a sphere the minimum number of equal size tangent circles (all tangent to the other 3) that can parquet it's surface is 4. If 1/3rd of all those circles is removed at the tangent points and removed in an obvious pattern to produce "headed tails" The result is 4 yin yang shapes. They will all look spiral from most views.

Taoism created by Lao Tzu. Lao Tzu might be confuse for remaining part
of the world. But every
south indian knew he is Bogar Siddhar (a Saint from Tamil Nadu) who
travelled to China in the name Bo Yang or Lao Tzu and found his student
Wu and return back to Palani, Tamil Nadu. Later Wu called as Pulipani
Siddhar. Confucious is Siddhar Kalanginathar. Bogar already went to
Chile and introduced Mayan Calander to Mayan people. So Taoism created
by South Indian(Tamilan) not by chinese. Same Kung-fu created by Bodhi
Dharma, South Indian Buddist Monk who travelled to China from Tamil
Nadu, India. Kung-fu is not created by Chinese, rather followed by
chinese. Kung-fu is just a small part of Varmakalai(Martial art of South
India). Bodhi dharma is the father of Zen and First Zen Master who
introduced Zen Buddhism to Chinese. For thankful, chinese pray
Bodhidharma as second buddha in Shaolin Temple. Research more... ;)

If Christianity and Taoism both can't be true, but I had to choose one, I'm definitely going Taoism.  Those people are way more chilled out.  They are also generally cool with gay people getting married, which I'm a fan of.

Recently I’ve been questioning my religion I’ve grew up Christian but I’ve kinda changed my mind recently and have been looking into different religions and with this one it seems to really detest weapons violence etc. but personally if someone gets on my bad side I may or may not resort to a slight bit of violence I don’t usually initiate fights but I’m not afraid to if I need to.
I play with my guy friends by like twisting their arm of hand or something like that if they do something inappropriate or something as a playful reminder that I don’t play that and if someone starts a fight with me I will fight back hard too I don’t care if it’s biting scratching hitting kicking if someone tests me in that way I will resort to violence to let them know not often though I can think if times where I’ve been less aggressive during fights I guess. Also with the simplicity thing I know I love my technology in every form and I have a kinda expensive taste I like to pamper myself often but I don’t always go to far but I feel that kinda goes against what this video says ( by the way I haven’t finished the entire video yet I’m at 4;42 )
