This super event is really cool and awesome, but as a Japanese person, I feel a sense of discomfort with the content of the event. In reality, Prince Higashikuni was the most liberal member from a conservative imperial family.

Interestingly, during the right-wing Greater Japanese Empire, he held significant influence as a dove-like politician and was the only person to directly negotiate with Hideki Tojo to end the war. Furthermore, he leaned towards democratic ideals and famously advocated for the legalization of the Japanese Communist Party to the GHQ.

Given historical facts, he was evidently a democratic-minded member of the imperial family, so there are doubts about portraying him as a supporter of absolute monarchy in The New Order . Instead, it seems more appropriate for the role to be attributed not to Prince Higashikuni, but rather to Prince Takahito Mikasa, who was contemplating a coup during wartime.
