From What I've heard when Taboritsky was young he tried to baptize himself and join the russian orthodox church, but was Denied for being Jewish, and so he began to view his Jewish identity as a curse and that's why he hates Jews(as far as i know and remember), so maybe in this timeline he decided not to bitch about it and didn't become anti-Semitic
