I’ve never heard it called that name! I’ve always called it vazakka mezhukkupuratti.

More languages = more people to talk to. 😃 Doesn’t matter if mastered or not. As long as you’re not a professional writer there’s no need to be perfect at any language. If you can communicate, and people understand you - it’s enough. 😁

Since you can say "achinga Kaya mezhukuvaratti" fluently, your Malayalam is actually not that bad !!!

Malayalees, among Indians, possess an inborn talent for language learning, with some individuals speaking up to a dozen languages, both Indian and foreign. This is due to the difficulty of learning Malayalam, which is one of the most difficult languages to speak. Malayalees often prefer to speak in their mother tongue or English, and have been migrating to various countries for decades. They speak in their native language and eat locally available food, and are open to marrying and settling down in new places.I my self could speak Malayalam, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Arabic and a little bit of Persian🤗

Glad to know I'm not alone when it comes to knowing 3 languages but not being a master at any of them

Love the loop enabling phrases at the end - not repetitive and always well thought!

I think the more the merrier and fluency is a spectrum. In addition to that, regarding your English you seem absolutely to master it well judging from your videos. I consider myself fluent in four languages and being able to understand a handful of their “sister languages”. Really multilingualism makes your views so much more diverse, it’s a superpower and not a weakness!

As a trilingual, literally me. I speak Korean from my dad, Chinese from my mom, English because of where I grew up, and I’m learning Spanish. I never really mastered any of my languages, and I know it seems like it’s so easy because my parents are from those countries but I didn’t learn them both at once just by living with them. I had to go to lessons when I got older and it really was hard. It makes me mad sometimes, of course I can be conversational, write, and read, but I make mistakes, and sometimes I feel I can’t call myself fluent. At some point I was more knowledgeable.

I would prefer to manage both actually. I am a native German speaker and basically at a native level in English, but I chose not to learn French in school and now I'd like to know at least some. And then I took Spanish for a bit but I didn't stick with it and now I can't remember more than a few words. I'd like to keep my English and German but a bit of multiple other languages would be great, in a very social travel enthusiast and I think it would just make things more fun

Language learning is a lifelong thing, you can’t claim to know every little nuance about a language even if you have a high mastery in it. I’d say I prefer to keep learning!

Speaking more than one language is definitely better even if you're not perfect in all. I speak English well, know a bit of Afrikaans (because I live in South Africa), I can speak both Thai (I'm half Thai) and the northen dialect of Thai (allowing me to understand Laos a little), and I'm learning French too. People say "stay humble" but being able to speak many languages is something to be proud of and I shamelessly brag whenever given the opportunity 🤣🤣 not to mention how speaking a certain way changes your perspective on a situation because of wording, you grow as a person. So yeah, there's that too.

Look at the positive side; your ability to speak so many languages, even not well, enables you to communicate and connect with a broader range of people. And THAT is quite an accomplishment!

Watching you eat the food with your hands at the end is super satisfying

seems like a "grass is always greener" situation. i've never heard this perspective honestly! didn't even occur to me that more languages could be at all disadvantageous. but i think ultimately imperfect communication with more people will always be more valuable than "flawless" communication with a very limited number. and most thoughts and concepts can be conveyed with simple language anyhow!

i really only speak english, and often feel very embarrassed or ignorant bec of it. i think it's really admirable to speak multiple languages! been trying to pick up more italian to communicate with my mom's family, and been considering trying to improve my (very) minimal french taught in schools here.

keep up the awesome work! you're a star in any language 🥰✨

I know 28 languages, fluently but I cants say words like devide, or anxiety, hard words. I prefer this because in my opponents language was made to communicate and If I’m able to communicate in many languages it really helps. I sometimes feel that too that maybe I should’ve been better at one but at the end of the day I’m able to communicate my needs with many ppl so I’m grateful
