Ken Burns should be everyone's high school teacher. He doesn't pull any punches. He tells it like it was. Thank goodness for PBS and public television for giving his talent a platform.

About 30 years ago my daughter's class needed permission from parents to allow their class to go to the Holocaust Museum in Washington. One of her classmates did not get the permission. His father said to me "the Jews had it coming". Is this ever going away?

What Ken said near the end about authoritarianism/fascism creeping up on people, I've explained it this way : It's like putting a live animal in a pot of cool water, then slowly turning up the heat; you don't know what hit you until it's too late.

I've been saying since Trump took office that America was becoming like Nazi Germany was in the 1930 with the Hitler and the Nazi Regime. Everything that was happening was comparable. I couldn't understand how no one was seeing the same things I could see. It was so obvious. I'm glad that now I see that I wasn't alone in seeing this. Maybe people will take a step back and take a good long look at what the Republican party has become and reflect on this film by Ken Burns.

Ken Burns jumped the shark. Comparing Martha's Vineyard to concentration camps? I bet Ken has had vacations on Martha's Vineyard and has plenty of money to buy a house if he chooses. Unlike the poor migrants that can't afford to go to a hotel there. He should pay for lodging for them at the Vineyard's bed and breakfasts.
