My dad was a Corpsman in Vietnam, he joined a week after turning 17. 20 years later he retired.

My dad was a Corpsman as well. He never sailed on a ship until I took him on a cruise last year. Welcome home sir and thank you for taking care of our Marines.

Welcome home, sir. As a boomer who grew up in the Air Force, I know that when you came home from “the Nam” it is very unlikely that you were welcomed back then, but we have learned better. May God bless you always, and may we all continue to learn that our veterans are to be welcomed and respected for their service in our defense. <><

This man has seen a lot and done a lot. Imagine night patrols in Vietnam, no sleep for days. I'm always awestruck by infantry and their corpsmen/medics

My dad was an Army medic during WW2 . He had flat feet & was blind in one eye but they accepted him. His final duty station was in New Caledonia. He was not yet 17.
In my opinion vets should be one of the top priorities of care & support. Who deserves it more?
Sincere thanks to those who served past & present. GOD BLESS YOU.

Those "docs" as the Marines called Navy Hospital Corpmen are the Navy's version of the Army's combat medics and they were and still are held in extremely high respect and reverence by the Marines that they serve with. They have saved the lives of many Marines over the years whenever and wherever the Marines have fought. Semper Fi, Doc !!
