My mom knows Il Bisonte since the 90s too. It has good quality. We're Asian but not Japanese & don't life in Japan either.

I know lots of us Japanese like quality goods of fine craftmanship, especially since the bubble economy booming in 80s and 90s when everyone had money. With leather shoes and bags, Italy was our shopping destination.
I personally didn't know this designer but i know that there are many indie and smaller brands with good quality goods that are very popular there.

I also noticed brands like Il Bisonte which are famed in Japan are almost unheard of here. Conversely there are Japanese bag designers like Cisei that have been founded in Italy and are doing great work.

i really hope you can do a dior 30 montaigne at some point. it’s my “daily driver” and after two years i’ve seen some quality issues. sure, it looks great, feels great, will never ever resell it anyways as it’s my first truly wearable designer handbag so it will be passed into a chosen individual when I am gone. No scratches but the EDGES are wearing off so fast?!😢 tbh it would be crazy cool to see you very carefully deconstruct and then reconstruct handbags with some custom details maybe like some extra pockets or custom lining / trim, bow details etc etc. or a matching accessory. that way you could get the value back for the handbags and be 0 waste ❤sorry if you already do this, just found your content :)

Many Japanese Gen X and boomers love ghurka vintage so I’m not surprise their love for Bisonte. But the Ghurka vintage made in USA were a marvel. Mostly canvas but they were a workhorse like Coach vintage
