Would you wait up to 5 hours for rice balls? (onigiri) Well Japanese people do so I want to find out if it's worth it.

I waited an hour for these standing in the heat, but 100% worth it (You just gotta get there early enough)

I once heard that Japanese will line up at any line because “if they’re waiting here it must be good” and heard from a different person who traveled to Japan how they once stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to look something up on their phone and people started lining up behind them-

I think the most unbelievable part wasn't the 5 hour wait. It was that Connor found a bench

Ofcourse that's the best onigiri you ever had. It's made with Niigata Koshihikari rice. When I used to live in Niigata everything with rice was so good because they used Koshihikari

That only tells us that Japanese people are very patient people.

I get that they're good, but I also feel like japanese people will just stand in any long line, with the idea that if everyone else is willing to wait for them, they should as well

What’s most important is not having the best onigiri in Japan, but the friends we met in line for it.

That trick (ordering the food and getting it when you get there) is what my parents always do with our favorite ice cream shop. Not many people know you can order it online, and it's always funny to see the people's faces when you just pass them and get your order right away. Especially on a sunny and busy day when the line is so long, that it reaches the end of the block.

Connor not letting everybody know that you could actually order online was pure evil😂

I once went to a Japanese restaurant. I saw Chicken Teriyaki Bento on the menu. I did not know what Bento was, but I knew Chicken Teriyaki VERY WELL. I ordered it. Hard cut to me, 2 months later having gained 17 pounds thanks to this restaurant. Japanese food is amazing.

It makes me happy to think that there are foreigners who love Japan like you do.
Recently, a foreigner called Thomas Lockly did something very serious and quickly became a famous foreigner in Japan, and Japanese people reacted to his many comments about Japan and wrote two songs called Yasuke isn't to blame and The Thomas Lockly.
So when I see someone like you who loves Japan, I feel relieved from the bottom of my heart. I feel relieved and moved from the bottom of my heart when I see someone like you who loves Japan.

67% of Connor's shorts start with "I am Japan's most miserable British man".

Yo I'm absolutely loving these made for Shorts videos. They're not cut from a longer video or stream so I'm loving this type of content. Also those Onigiri are really big.
