Surprised you didn't talk more about the followers role in hand placement! Like you said 5 words on this. I see so many followers who were never taught they need to always have hooks in their fingers, . In fact even in salsa class you see this neglected because the teachers just assume the followers will do this but most don't go over it. Also is it not the followers job to always hold on to the leads hands with those hooks?? Thats another thing I see often, the follower will let their hook go in the middle of a pattern which messes up whatever move the leader is trying to do. In Cuban salsa it's even worse because they teach the leads to use their thumbs in basic guapa position and most followers won't learn about the importance of holding onto the leader until much latter in their Casino/Timba maturation. Cuban follows are always losing connection, the leads end up just grabbing the ladies hands all the time.
