I remember when Arekkz dropped his, " Why we need a monster hunter stories 2." video. As I was wishing for the same thing.

Can I just say how much I love how they tried to replicate each weapon's playstyle in a turn-based setting. I was fine with the general feel of the weapons in the first game (GS was the simple sweeper, SnS was the support & defence weapon, Hammer was for big boy damage and HH was for combos and buffs), but here it's so cool how they made the weapons so much more unique than that. Charge attacks, coatings and shot types for Bow, HH melodies being openly useable on the fly (thank god), Gunlance shell stock, it's amazing. I'm currently running SnS, Hammer and Bow, and I'm absolutely loving it.

Also, can't lie I'm near-certain Power Shot is guaranteed after a charged shot. Like, I don't think I've seen a single case of me using a charged shot without getting another Power Shot at the turn's end.

The demo was so good that I was so sad when it ended. It had a lot of content though. Now I’m hyped af for the full game.

I like how they build on the battle system adding weakness to weapon types and making each unique for sure.

I spent most of the demo using greatsword, hammer, and bow. When I actually was against a monster that didn't resist pierce, I quite enjoyed bow. Still need to try hunting horn and gunlance though.

The hammer pairs well with the bow but I will still go Sns, hammer and GL for sure. I don't play SnS in main line MH, but here I like it here a lot

Well that clears up why all of a sudden I went from doing barely over 100 damage to 1001 damage with great Sword. Thx for the info

It's interesting how they tweaked the weapons in this game. They seem to have removed the "combos" from the first game ( doing a certain combination strong, quick and technical attacks in the right order) for the gauge bars, it took a bit of getting used to but I do actually like it since it adds an extra layer to a turn based combat system. I am personally stick with SnS and Hammer from the first game. I picked up Bow for my piercing option but Gunlance looks pretty rad I might switch over

I've been running SnS, HH, and Gunlance. I'm not sure how I'm gonna handle it in the main game, but I personally find the hammer and gunlance hard to utilize to the fullest when you have a companion and their monstie. For the sake of practicing stuff, I wish you could choose to leave Kayna behind

This game is fantastic, I just bought Mario Golf and PS5 Scarlet Nexus and havent touched either of them, Im all over this demo.
