I started watching your sermons when I was 12 before you had any books out and before you were so famous, and now I'm 29 and still watching your sermons almost two decades later, I grew up with your voice, I didn't have any parents, no dad, and no family, it might sound weird but when I hear your voice I cry sometimes because I grew up with you encouraging me and my walk with God and you were kind of like a parental figure to me and a positive influence I definitely didn't have from any adult in my life, you were kind of like a dad to me and I really appreciate it, I'm very thankful to God he had me find you that day just flipping through channels 18 years ago

Dear pastor Joel Osteen I am my own enemy and this sermon was exactly what I needed to hear this morning June 22, 2022. I have not loved myself since I was very little and I didn't understand why I couldn't find anyone else to love me! Or find a good friend. A person actually said to me that nobody else has to beat me up or be mean to me because I am the meanest person to myself! I'm going to be 49 this year and I have always held on to every mistake I've made or hated my life due to traumatic events and I at one point wished I never was born. My 7 year old son was killed in a car crash that I was the driver of the car. I told the family secret that caused division and I have held guilt for so many years, I was addicted to drugs but I have been given a new chance through Christ Jesus! I am learning slowly about the Love of God and Jesus Christ, and having a hard time learning to love myself and accept myself. This has kept me from going to a church building because I don't feel worthy to walk in the doors. Thank you for letting me know that God knew me and all the things I would do and loved me anyway. He has been opening doors that I thought could never be opened! Thanks be to God and his Grace, I am going to work harder and pray that God helps me to love myself and let go of my past mistakes and learn to be thankful that I am uniquely made by God and loved exactly the way I am! Praise God on the Highest. And Thank you always pastor Joel Osteen for bringing the message to me.
