I adore my Rebel Blue V40 R-Design Lux with the D2 engine. Build quality is fantastic, feel good factor is brilliant, people stare at it and people have taken pictures of it when it's parked and people ask about it. Ride is a little firm but the steering, gear change and brakes are spot on. The seats are incredibly comfortable and on long journeys I feel refreshed. Can't recommend the Volvo enough and it's a wonderful change to have a premium product that is NOT a bloody Audi/VW/Merc or BMW!! Rarity value counts for a lot!

Really enjoying my V40 Cross Country 2.0 d2 though I'm averaging 48 mpg. Still, it's a solid motor. Much better than cars like the Quashqai and Peugeot 2008. The interior is great. Only quibble is the boots a tad small.

Yes, very much. 3500km now and 2 months driving it, I'm very happy and would buy the same car again. I feel like I have a much more expensive car in my hands than it really is in fact. Full of lovely details ;)

I agree. Strongly considering getting one myself, and the only options for me are silver (top) white (pretty damn close) or black (meh).

Yep, totally agree and I would add that the colour is not the problem, the problem is that this specific model looses everything with this solid red. The car is beautiful, I'm about to get one (Biarritz Blue), but even if they made me a discount of 30% I would not buy it in this solid red colour (ou I would and then buy for a new painting, hehe).

Volvo V40 in solid red should be illegal...

All that money spent on it and they choose a crap solid exterior colour. I know there are too many black and silver cars on the roads today, but that colour does the used value no favours at all.
