How to fix 3ds game card reading issue

The last step is crucial! Initially I only rubbed the contacts with paper as I was skeptical that the toothpick would do anything. Only after I used the toothpick did it start working 😂

Let me just say, your video has resolved my issue! I had ordered some ds and 3ds games off of mercari, and I realize a good bunch of them dont work. (Brain age ds and metal gear 3). They absolutely both had gunk between the contacts, one more apparent than the other. The small paper piece has worked wonders, thank you so much for posting this! Its a miracle to know that my 3ds xl isnt broken. God bless you man.

that doesn’t work. The problem is I have super smash Bros 4 for the 3DS and when I put it in there, it shows the game in there but when I press a to play it, it says this game card could not be read

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have had this childhood game that I’ve always wanted to play because I remember it being soo much fun! But it wouldn’t read the cartridge. Once I did these steps. It read AS SOON as I put it in. Thank you so much, you’re a lifesaver!

This was really helpful and worked really well, most other guides for other things dont work as well and arent as direct with what you are supposed to do but I did this and it worked immediately! great job dude, thanks for the help!

As I was polishing up my old copy of new SMB, I thought to myself “yeah, I give this about a 3% chance of actually solving the issue.”

YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY THIS SAVED ME, a few of my 3ds games weren’t working and blowing on them won’t either, so I assumed the worst and that I bent the pins, and the way it looked on the inside, it look like I bent ALL the pins, and I knew i might have to go through the trouble of finding someone to fix it (I didn’t want to do it myself and was worried if I did it, I would break it) thank you so much for the guide, or else I would of spend probably up to 70$ for the repair and parts

NO WAY, THIS ACTUALLY WORKED, I ORDERED AN EXTREMELY CHEAP JAPANESE VERSION OF POKEMON BLACK FROM JAPAN AND I COULD NOT, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GET IT TO WORK, UNTIL I RUBBED PAPER IN BETWEEN IT, AND IT WORKED!!!
