The Factor Theorem Explained with an Example #shorts

If you are looking to see the factor theorem explained with an example, this is the video for you! With the factor theorem, polynomials are factorable by finding factors that make the function equal to zero.

The first question you have to ask is what is the polynomial divisible by. To answer this, start by subbing in factors of the constant term of the polynomial function. When you get zero, you have found a binomial that is a factor of the polynomial.

Once a factor is found, polynomial long division or synthetic division can be applied to fully factor the polynomial.

A couple corrections! -2 and -3 also make the function equal to zero. Also, the final factored expression should have x+3 instead of x-3. I guess I rushed this one!
