just like almost every other tribe on the continent, the Himba people have preserved their cultural values and practices in the face of civilization. Recorded as being from North-East Zambia, the Himba people can be traced as far back as the 16th Century when they journeyed through the Angolan border and settled at Kaokoland now called Kunene Region. Their stay in that region was plagued with an epidemic which caused them to move south for survival. This move down south brought them in contact with the Herero tribe. With an estimated population of 50,000 now living in the north of Namibia, the Himba people are mostly semi-nomadic. Here are some interesting cultural practices of the Himba you should know:

The Himba tribe lives in the desert between Angola and Namibia, they don't care or believe in countries. The Himbas are a matriarchy at its maximum, as women are in charge. They are the “owners” of the children, houses, livestock and all the utensils that exist in the villages. The women also command a polygamous society, in which each woman can have sexual relations with several men.
So I didn't finish this video, the title is horrible and sensational. If you don't understand, stop judging.

Okay people most of you stop to read this article because of one word. Sex. Well now you know of this tribe. What's Nasty about their culture. Offering their wives for sex to please their guess is like in some cultures a man offers his boss his wife to get a promotion. I find the latter offering more nasty and deviate.
