Respect to the man for standing his ground and being able to handle such a big dog attacking him instead of trying to run. Not that I blame anyone for trying to run from such a big dog. It's just that a human is most likely not going to be able to escape a dog, and running leaves people open for an attack from behind which is what many animals hope for if they are planning to attack you. And you don't want a dog like a Turkish Kangal attacking you from behind. They are used for guarding sheep from wolves, and I have heard that their bite pressure is 743 lbs. I don't know if that is true, but their bite would not feel good regardless of what the bite pressure actually is. I once read a story of a teenage girl that was mauled by a Turkish Kangal while in New Addington, south-east London. The attack lasted for about five minutes. She is probably only still alive because two workmen saved her. She had PTSD after the attack and would have terrible dreams each night. Scary stuff.
