Charlotte: dead because she didn’t have any food

Also charlotte: has 4 packs of crackers in her pocket

A very tragic and upsetting fate for one of the most wholesome characters and uplifting side missions in the game. I'm glad I helped Charlotte and did this mission, it was very well written.

This lady had the saddest story even when Arthur saved her

My favorite side mission in the game by far. Idk y. It just makes everything bad seem better when you get to help Charlotte.

You'd have to be a monster to skip this side quest, one of the best and most rewarding side quests ever

What a lot of people might not know is that somewhere I believe in New Hanover, you can encounter a man at his camp, and he will talk to you of a woman who bares very close resemblance to Charlotte. He knows where she lives and everything. There are also nude photographs at his camp too. If you never do the second part to the side quest (the one where Arthur teaches her how to shoot a rifle), and return sometime later as Arthur, you can find her dead body there, as if she has been murdered recently.

No joke. I finished the whole game, but I found her body and, instead of completing the challenges and remaining missions, I restarted the game just to save her.

Judging from the fact she had crackers on her and water didn’t seem too hard to get. I reckon she tried to hunt an animal and got scratched up by something and died from the wounds or bled out when she got back to the house. That or she ate something poisonous. You’re still a monster for not completing this quest tho.

i loaded up my save on "our best selves" and started over again solely because of this. i only helped charlotte once with arthur and didnt know that she'll be dead when i came to her with john.

I'm not the sharpest knife on the Christmas tree, but even I would hesitate to eat crackers from the pocket of a corpse that starved to death.

WHAAA, I founded charlotte still fresh dead, her body is not decomposing at all.

You can also help Charlotte as John, if I'm not wrong. But you need to meet her as John, instead of Arthur.
I didn't visit her as Arthur the first time I played the game, I only found out about her mission later and went to her house as John.
The most interesting part is that if you help her completely as Arthur and go to her house as John, he will tell her about Arthur's death.

Charlotte: "Go on, take everything you need in the house"
John: "And I'll take that personally"

all the side quests that tell John Arthur was a good man and that he saved them warm my heart fr ❤, it’s sad to think that Arthur never believed it though

Beat this game probably like 8 times never knew this happened

Sort of a dumb detail but, if you go to the Strawberry convince store and go to rob the owner you can see he has one wooden leg. If you shoot him in the wooden leg he still takes damage and dies.

the amount of things rockstar put in the game depending on what you do or don’t do never stops amazing me

Charlotte's side missions are probably my favorite in the game, story-telling wise. I wish Arthur got better and just settled down with her, leaving the cowboy days in the past. It would be a very cheesy, very not Rockstar-ish ending, but god damn did Arthur deserve a better one.

Charlotte was my light when playing the last chapter of the game. I literally rushed to her as soon as her mission became available and I kinda wish she and Arthur had something more going on between them. This was a sad but pretty cool detail!
