Hey Everyone!

In our kitchen I want to make everything homemade, but Chris loves anything store-bought! When he was saying how good a Pumpkin Pie was from the store, I took it as a challenge to bake an even better version completely homemade!

I think my Pie was much better, but we may have lost this round according to Chris. We loved filming this video and want to make it a series here on our channel.. What "Homemade VS Store-bought" food should we try next??

For anyone with good tastebuds who wants to try out this delicious pumpkin pie recipe:

Dry ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/34 teaspoons ginger
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cloves

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed pumpkin
1 cup evaporated milk
1 unbaked pie crust

Mix dry ingredients. stir in eggs. add pumpkin and stir well. gradually add evaporated milk. pour into unbaked pie crust.
Bake at 350* for 45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. add whipped cream.

I make homemade pumpkin pie every year for Thanksgiving. Pumpkin pie is one of my husbands favorite desserts. My pumpkin batter is always runny every time i make it, but it always cooks up perfectly.

Have you tried using the Crisco shortening sticks? It makes measuring way easier!

I love pumpkin pie too, but even though I home puree pumpkin for baking, I do prefer a Costco Pumpkin Pie. I prefer to call it a vegetable pie, because it sounds healthier. Although I recently heard that pumpkin pie is the best choice for a diabetic. Interesting.
