Homemade Pumpkin Pie VS COSTCO

Don't have a Costco membership, but I have been baking pumpkin pies for like a decade now. Homemade is just so good and fairly easy!! I make the pie crust too.

I’m a Costco Bakery employee. There’s a reason we don’t make these year round.

Costco actually loses money making pumpkin pie once a year. They pay all the employees and seasonal (15 add ons from actual employees) on top of that during holidays Costco bakery, and only bakery turns into an overnight operation. Bakery is open 24hrs during that time.

Some of us are off at 12am and another crew comes in at that time.

Point being there is labor that is being put into this.

By all means make it at home.

Homemade is better for you. Plus you control your ingredients.
Grow your own Pumpkins or Squash😊

Making it from the raw pumpkin itself is a tedious but delicious task.

Everything in Costco is cheaper because you already pay for the membership so I don’t think this whole price thing applies

You don’t have to bake the pie crust first.
