Does The FujiFilm XT4 Still Hold Up In 2025?

Is the fujifilm xt4 worth buying in 2025? this camera is 5 years old and in camera years thats getting on a bit.

Recently got an XT4 used to have an XT2. A completely impulsive, irrational purchase... I feel like 80% of this company’s revenue comes from decisions like mine. I use the A7III, and despite Sony’s flaws and the X-T4’s impressive specs on paper, I’d still choose Sony. But I love Fuji too much. Now I have a problem - I don’t want to sell it :..(

I never had that dead pixels I’ll have to look out for that. Slow auto focus is the only thing I don’t like but I got use to it. I use area focus when doing videos and it works great. To get past the over heating with this Vegas summer weather I just connect it to my ninja v and that keeps it from over heating in the summer most of the time. I can get about a good 2-3 hours of video recording in 100 degree weather before I get warnings. I definitely want to go Sony fx3 next, the cannon RC I think it’s called or one of the medium format cameras from Fuji. I really want one that’s good at photo and vid but that’s hard to find 😂

I got two xt4’s and love them, but your cons are true. I did stop shooting professionally and sold my Sony system. Bought two cheap xt4 bodies for family/travel, sometimes wedding photos.

Love my xt4. I wish it had the articulating lcd of the xt5 but I can live with the flippy screen. I also prefer to use a battery grip and that's not an option for the xt5.

Yeah….. any of them do. I’m still shooting with an xt-1 with newer 23 and 33 1.4 lenses. It’s fantastic

I like that XT-4 exposure lock to eye-detect autofocus zone also works with TTL flash metering; is this commonplace?
