IS AEROSPACE ENGINEERING FOR YOU?

Not everyone who wants to study aerospace engineering should study aerospace engineering.

I’ve devised a list of 5 points I think matter when it comes to deciding whether or not you should study aerospace engineering at university.

This should not deter anyone at all, as it is not my right to tell you not to do anything but they are simply points of consideration to ensure you make a more educated decision about your future.
If you’re uncertain about studying engineering, then this video will help clarify if it is the right degree for you.

If you want to learn more about what life as an aerospace student is like plus anything else related to studying in the UK and in engineering, comment below or on any video and I will reply :)

Who am I?
My name is Sagar and I am a first-class MEng aerospace engineering graduate in the UK at the University of Sheffield. In my channel, I post videos about engineering, technology, university life and careers. If you're a university student or planning to study at a university in the UK or anywhere else, consider subscribing. I will make helpful videos to help you make the most of university. I have studied in the UK and Australia so I have global university experience. I aim to transition from aerospace to software engineering soon, so be prepared for software content coming out.

Currently, my schedule is to post a new video every Saturday at 16:00 so subscribe and expect great content!

Don't loose believe in yourself people! You can be whatever you wanna be as long as you get those hands of your moving and working math as fast as your mind is thinking! Goodluck

I received an aerospace education in another country as a specialist, and rn work in that sphere. I've been working in this field for a couple of years and I didn't have to use higher than basic math at university as I do workflow modeling. Basic math it's pretty enough for a part of aerospace engineering.

Basically everything applies to me which reassures me I made the right decision. Thank you very much :)

damn man i was really confused of which stream i shld take in 11th and you showed the right path for me, all of the thigs u said perfectly lines up with my life but i would like to know a little more about these

So, I am really in love with physics and the universe. Kinda cliche, I know, but since I visited the Griffith Observatory, I've been fascinated about it. Specially 'cause there are so many mysteries to be found out. But, in my country, being a theorical physicist won't get you anything. I would probably be a high school teacher, something that I'd absolutely hate, or a very low payed researcher. Not for me, sorry. Even though I love physics and astrophysics, I love economical stability better. So I found out Aerospace Engineering. It's not exactly what I want, I won't be learning that much about theory and would focus more on the mechanical part, but it actually interested me and I can see myself making aircrafts or other things. I was actually really obcecated on building robots when younger, and programming them, so I think it would be a fit.

I still want to learn astrophysics, of course. I know it might be hard to get studies on the theorical field with a Engineering degree, but I would even study physics on university to get there someday. Engineering would be my money to get what I actually want.

I am currently a Grade 12 student and graduating next month. I still haven't finalized the course I am going to study for university. I browsed through the school's page which I intend to apply and saw that they are also offering BS Aero Engineering. I got thrilled since I have been in love with planes, spacecrafts, and aircrafts so I jumped here in yt and searched for some vids related to Aero Eng, that basically explains why I am here now. I instantly got goosebumps and extra happy when you mentioned F1 because I'm a die hard fan of it 😭 Is this a sign? Because I'm also worried about all the maths I'm gonna get through. I am SO bad at mathematics.

I love to designing spacecraft and I am doing it since a 8th standard and now I am in 11th I still want to be aerospace engineer but I'm bad at math because if I create or design something different I want to make it a reality and most of it is all about space for me that's why I want to be a aerospace engineer

Basically study mechanical engineering and get a degree on fluid mechanics ( it'll help to have a wider job market) my recommendation, make what best fits to you.

I have to do a 4 years degree before becomg a airline pilot outside the military route. This might have saved me a career I wouldn't like 😭💙.

Everything 100% for me, ever since I was a kid, finishing my mech. engineering bachelor soon, trying to decide on a master subject, I do however might have a problem with working on military applications, being why Im hesitant.

I am really passionate for Aerospace Engineering and i have almost all the qualities you talked about but the only barrier is there an alternative way i can pursue this course?

As a dude that for some reason finds math easy and loves planes, the answer is Y E S.

Thanks for your video. I have checked all the points you made and will be entering University soon. I was told to enter a mechanical engineering program and later do my masters in aerospace engineering but I feel like I will miss out more if I don't start aerospace engineering from my first year in university. What are your thoughts on it?

I have all the stuff you mentioned except maths, so please do a video how to learn maths having a target doing of aerospace engineering.

seems like all of these apply to me! Will give it a shot I guess :P

Hi, I'm currently working on my AA at DSC and plan to transfer to ERAU afterward. I'm relatively good at math and have a good work ethic. My biggest worry is not being smart enough; I hear everyone say that it's really difficult and that the graduation rate is really low. Should I be worried?

Hi I know maybe I am late to this. But I discovered my passion to become an Aerospace Engineer. But the thing is that I am almost in my 40s and I have a Masters degree an M.S. In Aeronautics specializing in Space Operations, but I want to do engineering. I want to build more of that skill set to join NASA and want to work with NASA's Artemis Program. But the thing is with me is that It took me a long time for me to get to my Masters and even then its not enough. I love Aircraft, Spacecraft, Rockets, and I do love racing espically Formula 1 cars. I love fast vehicles including Supersonic and hypersonic aircraft and rockets. I am sorry if this is long but I am trying my best to enter with the Aerospace Industry (Space Sector) but its been difficult to get in.

Also I do want to design different aircraft, rockets and spacecrafts again the thing is with me is that, I am a bit older but I am not sure on what to do. I graduated of a prestigious University. Sorry for the long response.
