Показать описание
The coating on the tongue is the regular plaque an bacteria that are there, that goes off with regular brushing and brushing your tongue. The other white coating can be candidiasis. It is a fungi which causes candidiasis, or oral thrush is a thick white patch which form on the tongue and the mucosa which forms in the mouth which you can wipe off and you see a bleeding areas there and that is a fungal infection. Normally everybody has candida in their mouth. But when the candida overtakes and shows as an infection, is when your immunity to fight that fungal infection is low. So it is seen in people with immunocompromised people, in propel with a lot of stress, or deficient in certain nutrients, or if you have taken antibiotic which have changes the bacterial flora in the mouth or a combination of couple of these conditions and can lead to candidiasis or oral thrush, many times people ask if kissing or alcohol consumption can you get candidiasis. Is it contagious, it is a yes or no condition. No because all of us are having candida in our mouth but not necessary that we are having candidiasis that is active or infective, But if you gave candidiasis and if your immunity is weak and that is the time you get it from kissing from an infected person or you can get reinfected or second round of infection and be there. If you are suffering from candidiasis, and consumption of alcohol, so your liver converts alcohol to acetaldehyde and ethanol and it is like feeding the candida. They do live on the acetaldehyde and ethanol and that further increase the candida organisms and suppresses the immunity to fight that infection. So looking at this way the alcohol does affect candidiasis.
