Well that was the definition of not what you think. I was thinking what everyone was thinking in the first half

Luckily, snakes in that genus have musk glands (much like Garter Snakes here in the US) that they use to secrete a foul smelling substance and ward off predators, so I'm sure the dogs can smell them out VERY easily. If you've ever handled a scared garter snake you know how pungent they smell with our much weaker human noses, so dogs for detection are a perfect choice.

I couldn't help but notice the fact that the first scene in the video is actually a place in my city Gdynia, a parking lot in between the powerplant and the container terminal which was temporarily used as a parking lot for all the aid that was going to Ukraine

"Extirpated the bird population" doesn't really get across how bad Guam's ecosystem was damaged. There are basically no birds on Guam except domestic chickens and you never hear birdsong as a result. Which is quite strange for a tropical island.

The snake climb up power poles and short out the power lines, causing a blackout every 4 days . They also attack kittens and puppies and have been known to bite infants.
The forests of Guam are eerily quiet and full of spider webs.The snake has wiped out the bird population, so no chirping or calls. The large amounts of spider webs in the forest are also due to no birds: normally the birds break up the webs while in flight. Without the birds, the webs remain up and more and more are "built" by the spiders.
Any shipment or flight from Guam to Hawaii is also inspected by sniffer dogs.
