I work in vet med. I would never for a single moment consider taking a video of someone's departed pet, especially when they leave them in our hands to be handled for cremation. Disrespectful, and creepy. Please don't take this as vet staff fooling around with your pets after you decide it's time. We take it very seriously.

As a vet tech I take immense respect when handling deceased pets. I not only treat them with respect when getting them ready for euthanasia/cremation but treat them as if they were my own pet I was saying goodbye to. It can also be emotional for yourself when you know the pet and have seen them come in for years 😢
Side note to other vet techs: I started putting a heart on the vet wrap we place over their catheter and so many owners have appreciated that and it shows them you took a little extra time and care with their loved one ❤

Why is everyone hating on this dude?? It's disgusting to do that with a dead animal, stop trying to excuse it by going "there are worse things going on in the world" there is going to always be something worse but thats not a reason to ignore someone's bad behavior. Also in the original video you can hear what sounds like a sad kid in the background say something, I came across the original before and saw people pointing it out in the comments.

Im a certified euthanasia tech a that works in animal rescue....and I try to give all my patients care, even if sometimes that can only happen after they've passed on. Sometimes that's trimming horribly overgrown and embedded nails, or clipping off a particularly egregious fur mat...and I'll even admit, things aren't always 100% somber in the euthania room. You have to have some degree of separation to survive.

All that said....I ALWAYS have respect for the animals I come across and do my best to handle them with care and in the way id hope my own pets were.

This is definitely unsettling, and if this was one of my coworkers, I'd be on my way to management.
