honestly i think knowing how to study languages the “lazy way” is the most important, especially when you’re learning multiple at once, because as you say, it’s a marathon rather than a sprint and if you only know how to “study hard” then you’re bound to burn out. you could even argue that studying in this way is more effective, because it’s a lot more natural - after all, it’s how you learn your native language as a child. sorry for the long comment lol thanks for the helpful video, love from a fellow korean learner 🇰🇷

If you’re learning multiple languages and significantly better in one than the other, then try to study the one you’re not as good at with the one you’re better at. This wont work if you’re a beginner in both but it really helps me

I’m learning Russian and Japanese and I’m wayyy better at Russian than Japanese. Anime is pretty popular with russian speakers so that means I have double the resources 🤭

I'm learning Japanese in English, I do watch videos of J native speakers who teach Japanese in English, it's really help me improve my Japanese and English at the same time. When I was learning English, I had no idea that I was learning (like "learning a language without studying it") as I learnt for fun, learnt to watch my favorite show without turning on the sub, I didn't even know that my English had improved so much, and when I realized that my English had gotten better, I started learning grammar and kept studying passively, hope that my Japanese will be conquered by this method

Learning a language off self- interest is much more fun than learning a language for education, however, it also means that you are responsible for allocating time to reach your goal. That is why, I think this video was really helpful, by setting a guideline for how to spend your time in an efficient yet easy way. 谢谢 спасибо Thank you!

These are very useful tips that I realized I used without even being aware of it lol. As I’ve been learning Korean for 3 yrs I’ve developped these lazy habits and I have to admit it’s the only way I could ever learn any language hahah
Btw I hope not to come out as rude but during the journaling part where you showed what you wrote I noticed some mistakes (5:46). I thought correcting these might be helpful to your learning journey !
First of all, for the month you wrote 발월 for august I guess, it should be 팔월 if you really wanted to write the entire word however you could simply just write 8월 as it is most of the time ! Then, you wrote 좌해요 but you’re making 2 mistakes here : you misspelled 좋아해요 and 좋아해요 means “I like” when I think you meant “the weather is good”. The correct way to say that would be 날씨가 좋아요 !
A more subtle “mistake” (it’s not really a mistake but it doesn’t feel natural I don’t know how to explain hahah) : you said “여자친구(를) 안았어요” which is not completely wrong but feels kinda off. Explanation : in Korean we tend to add “주다” (to give) at the end of a verb to express that what we are doing smth for the other (sorry if that’s not clear…) so a better way to phrase this would be “여자친구(를) 안아줬어요” (meaning : I gave my gf a hug) or “여자친구랑 안았어요” (lit trans : I hugged w my gf)
Finally 2 small misspells : 네일 (nail) -> 내일 (tomorrow) and 이타리아 (doesn’t mean anything) -> 이탈리아 (Italia)
What you wrote is completely understandable nonetheless and your level is already pretty good so keep going ✊

Anyway good luck on your Korean learning journey and have a good day !!
PS : if you ever have any question about this feel free to ask me for more explanation I’ll do my best to reply quick and well hahah
PPS : if anything I said is wrong or partially wrong please feel free to correct me as I am still learning Korean myself

Love these tips here! It's also important to remember that motivation comes in waves, so I love these "lazy" methods when I don't have as much motivation as usual

I have seen lots of methods trying to learn korean and yours seem more realistic and relatable than the books I have downloaded many books and taken courses but normally I drop them half way . My experience with courses and books it’s that I just got stuck with Hangul and didn’t move on. Then just by listening to songs and seen the lyrics in korean saw an improvement I will definitely try your version since I just have very short time to study. Thanks for sharing!
