The Mind Electric// Demons AMV (Gift for Blackie Sootfur)

Never in my life have I felt so passionate about a story in my life, this series has its hooks in me and I will never let it go

FIRST AMV LET'S GOOO!! I'm so proud of myself for finishing!!! It's so strange seeing the finished product after how long this took, I actually feel as though my style may have changed a bit through production! But GOSH I'm so excited I wanna share Demons with as many people as I can! I hope you enjoy watching!

Overall, this is a BIG mix of story elements, video references, and a lot more! Apologies, I haven't presented the story in a linear fashion so it might be difficult to understand, I hope you enjoy nonetheless! It mostly follows Nero, from his initial banishment from the Highest Lands to his nightmares about his broken family and his Sisyphean job of Demon collecting. Also features the Mortals and Monsters because I love them.

This has been in production for about 4 months, since early September. I didn't initially plan to make an entire AMV (I was originally gonna animate just a small section of the song), but the more I thought about Demons the more certain I felt that an AMV was the way to go, I have so much love for Blackie and her work and I want to show my appreciation in any way that I can. Plus I had SO MUCH FUN drawing all the characters!! Feels like such a treat!! Their designs are SO RAD!! Also a lot of experimentation happened with the backgrounds, I hope it looks ok!

This animation was the one I watched the most in 2023. I think it was possible because of the addictive song choice and cute illustrations. I think it's wonderful that Blacke sootfur's character's personality is expressed in detail. I look forward to seeing your wonderful animations in the future.

The whole time watching, I couldn’t stop thinking of how much work this must’ve taken. It’s the best thing I’ve seen come out of you. Ever. Okay so. I feel like you are definitely not getting enough praise, you really deserve so much more support for such a wonderful animation. Like, this isn't just incredible, it isn't just amazing, it isn't just likable. It's a masterpiece, Am Raye. You are a masterpiece and I am so proud of you for where you have gone with this incredible animating path. You are definitely on the right path, you are an outstanding animator with such good art skills! I decided to look back in a few of your videos where you first started, and the change and improvement was obvious! You should be so proud. Your animations when you first started were AMAZING! But you have shown amazingness can still be worked on, there is always room for improvement. So it's just so amazing, everything about it. Nero, you got his horns, his eye colors the background, his yellow with black wings, his white ears..EVERYTHING! Luca, his white fur black ears, black horns, yellow and orange wings, yellow eyes. I just find that amazing, I get so lazy when making other people's charaters. And look! Poi! I just have to say, that was perfectly made- shw has her spots which were never forgotten! I would have forgotten them so quickly! Her purple and yellow wings, her white paws and chest fur, and her pink nose. Everything NOT forgotten! Even throughout the animation! Look and there is Nidah! I feel like birds is just one of the hardest things to draw, but you nailed it so hard! The bird drawings was done amazingly! And not to mention the details you had to put into that. His black outlined wings, his big green eyes, his yellow face to black pelt of fur. Just everything, and all of them puting their paws up at the same time- that would have been such a dang challenge! That's extremely hard to do!
