I Am A New Soul// Animation Meme (Gift for Blackie Sootfur)

Oh boy, I've been working on this for about a week and a half, I didn't post the sketch anywhere because I wanted it to be a surprise! Congratulations on reaching (and surpassing!) 250K subscribers Bean!! That's a huge accomplishment you extraordinary individual!

I've been really interested in Blackie's Demons series lately, and I wanted to express my enjoyment of the series, so here we go, speedrunning through Nero finding Baby Midnight in the wild and bringing him to the Lowlands so he can Detroit become *father*

Characters in order of appearance are Nero, Baby Midnight, Suta, Lucida, teenage Midnight, and Davenport, all monsters in the series! There's also a couple of demons-

I'm really sorry if the movements are kinda spastic, I tried to see if I could work with moving backgrounds with Midnight flying at the same time :3! I hope it looks ok!

This was inspired by Jinne_the_dog's version of the meme! I'm honestly not sure if her video is the original, (I know there's another version that's really different) but I love it so much! It's wonderful!

This. Is. PERFECTION!

I can’t even believe what a fantastic animation this is! It’s just…perfectly wonderful in every way possible! How can one person even be this talented?

Firstly the backgrounds! I always am so impressed by your backgrounds Raye! Always so detailed and full of life! How can a background be full of life you may ask? Well I don’t know but yours somehow just are! The background at the beginning is so detailed and beautiful! I absolutely love the night sky and the hedges, grass and trees… it’s so pretty! And the way the moon casts a subtle light down! I love it! 0:05 Star background! Oh my gosh it moves as the character flys! So cool!! 0:06 cave! Woah! The lighting in this bit has been so well done!

Okay so the next part of backgrounds at about 0:09 is what really takes the level of amazing backgrounds to an extreme! I mean HOW can the backgrounds change and move and bonce into one another like that? It’s just so cool and entertaining to watch! It really makes you feel like you are the character bouncing along inside the cave! It’s the best thing ever and I love it!

Anyway! Enough about backgrounds, I need to talk about the animation!

0:01 I love how the winged grey character walks over to the little blue baby thing and lies down with a concerned expression as the blue creature lifts it’s head! The movement is excellent and the emotion is portrayed really well! 0:02 Oh my gosh the stretch, the yawn, that shy expression as the cute little thing curls up! How is it so cute??? It’s just… *googles another word for cute* endearing! 0:04 woah! The perspective- and the movement- I’m blown away Raye! (Rhyme not intended) 0:05 aaa! That flying animation is so beautiful! 0:09 the characters appear in perfect timing to the songs beat! That’s so amazing! 0:10 bounce and spinnn!!! That’s so smooth (I replayed this bit several times and still can’t work out how you animated this part so wonderfully!) Next the character gives the word’s sweetest smile! This is the best thing ever!! 0:13 no…did…did he just fly up across the screen as the background changed?! How much time, detail and thought has been put into this Raye?! 0:15 the affectionate nuzzle…I…I genuinely can’t handle how wonderfully wholesome this is! 0:17 there’s nothing I love more then a good old character jumping screen transition! The perfect way to end the perfect animation.

Overall Raye, this is one of the best things I have EVER watched! So much thought has been put into every single scene! This is so wonderful and I could not be more impressed right now.
