That’s what was so disappointing, in that Serena encouraged and praised CC to stay out of the riffs and social media, based on her own experiences … …and then Serena just added to it herself like that in the open on television. It was cringey and made me glad CC wasn’t there when I had otherwise been into this award ceremony.

I do believe that Williams joke about Clark was meant without malice, but given all of the circumstance surrounding Clark and all of the haters and race baiters I think it was in poor taste. Couple that with the Harrison Butker comments which went way too far, Williams lost my respect completely. Even if it was written by writers that work for ESPN, she has the final say on what comes out of her mouth. I personally will never watch anything on ESPN again. I don't care if they are the ones broadcasting next years Super Bowl and my Cowboys are in it (we know they won't be) I will not watch it.
