SUMMARY:
01:16 Instead of excess or deficiency, the attribute of calcium in your body to be assessed is its *_bioavailability._*

01:27 *_Bioavaioability_* = How much of a nutrient your body can actively use (incl. absorption, transportation & metabolic processes).

02:05 *The Four Muscle Minerals:*
A) Outside the cell:
1) Calcium
2) Sodium
B) Inside the cell:
3) Magnesium
4) Potassium

Muscle contraction vs. relaxation:
02:11 When you contract a muscle, calcium then rushes into the cell to trigger the contraction.
02:17 To push calcium out again and relax the muscle, you need magnesium.
02:22 If there isn't enough magnesium available, calcium will build up inside the cell and overstimulate it. You'll then get overly tensed muscles, and long term it can even lead to cell death.

04:05 Making calcium bioavailable again:
*1) **_Magnesium_* --> pushes calcium out of cells
*2) Sufficient **_potassium_** & **_sodium_* --> they are solvents which keep calcium in solution
*3) Healthy **_adrenal glands_* --> governs the bioavailability of potassium & sodium
*4) Supporting cofactors* --> *_Vit K2, Vit D, boron, copper, etc._*

05:59 Normally, the *_optimal ratio_** of calcium supplements to magnesium supplements* is between 1:1 to 2:1 *_(ideal ratio is 1.5:1)._*

Felix your knowledge of interaction between minerals vitamins, hormone and other active ingredients is astonishing. What are some consolidated resources you recommend reading? Thanks in advance.

Last year a surgeon discovered a cyst, a hole in my ankle. He asked me if I used supplements, and I told him I used magnesium for years, like a lot of people. He said the magnesium might have drawn calcium out of my ankle, creating the cyst, a hole filled with fluid. The cyst was filled with a bone transplant, a nasty operation.

This is great information, but am even more confused now. How the heck do I find a practitioner that can legitimately help me with this?

As I see"calcium is dangerous" studies only examined calcium carbonate without vitamin D (I count 400IU vitamin D as nothing).
But calcium carbonate neutralizes gastric acid and thus stops protein digestion. And protein deficiency could be a real problem. Other (eatable) calcium form can't do this.
Their conclusion is about calcium but in fact it was calcium carbonate.

No calcium carbonate only citrate or lactate. Most people have low stomach acid.

Can high dose vitamin k2 actually reverse calcification of the arteries or is it permanent. Are there any studies which show that K2 or any other supplement actually had the effect of reversing calcification?

If we also get calcium from foods what would be the best easy absorbed foods for calcium?

4:17 magnesium and potassium are no "solvents", and the "citrate" part in potassium citrate helps with kidney stones.

The only study every one is referring to, used calcium carbonate so of course you will get artery calcification

I saw a video with Robert Lustig saying that the calcium in milk is not absorbed because of phosphorus or sulfur compounds in milk that bind to the calcium. So don’t think you’re getting your needs met if you drink milk.

do you have a balanced diet? If yes, no need to supplement. If no, you need vitamin D and K2 to absorb and use it. And everything else.
