Had my controller for about 5 years, when I opened it up it was pretty clean. I used a small long flat head screw driver , alcohol and Q tips, went as far as opening the doors, taking the discs out, brushing and assembled . I did not use any paper though and it works great now, impressed, thank you.

the " go deep inside" part helped for me lmao. thank you, mine were a little different, but a good air dusting inside those side compartments fixed my terrible drift. EDIT:Didn't last long

I did did all methods excluding the last one and it fixed the drift issue I’ve had for over two years; so far these methods worked for me. If the issue comes back I’ll update the comment.
