Man, this is a video that I didn't ask for but really needed! Love that green. Those PRS trems are really fun to play

When they got started, the focus was making nicely painted guitar's. Tiger's blood is still the favorite for me. I'm learning how to do this.

Love these videos, anytime I have a small question about how something is done I stop by and there's always some sort of minor trick or piece of advice peppered in there. In this case? my string was stuck in the hole near the your solution with using the e string for that was simple, a no brainer really.... but until you pointed it out I was like, "WHAT I'M GOING TO DO!?" thank you!!!

Couldn't see tou do any actual string length or slack measuring before winding the string. Nor any underlock and bend to keep the string from slipping as you wound it on the post.🤔 Just curious, and I may have missed it.

Just picked up a lefty version of the Custom 24-08, but the flamed maple top is not anywhere near as nice as that! That one is super nice!

You don't need to shim the tremelo bridge on these when changing springs?

Yeah, just got the 2021 SE Custom 24-08 myself a few days ago(in blood orange) and had the same problem with old strings getting stuck in the bridge. That is not good. Still, a great guitar in general regardless of the price (and it really sounds good!) but that bridge feels so flimsy and I don't like the playing feel of it at all. So I'm now waiting on a Vega-Trem to replace it (I know that trem well as I have one in my Strat). With that new trem and GraphTech locking tuners, this guitar will sing and play like a dream!

Hey! How often do you use lemon oil on the fretboard?

Dane, didn't EVH send his guitars to Indonesia to be made? I always wondered if he did that to honor his heritage or his mom? Do you have any knowlege on that subject? Thanks!

Those who still think that guitars made in Asia are low or mid quality ignore the fact that the guitar industry has evolved tremendously during the past 20 years.

Ed Roman started the campaign against Asian-made guitars because the problem that Kramer experienced with a South Korean factory but in reality, brands like PRS keep the strictest quality control that you can find. Same thing with Ibanez, ESP, Fender and Gibson.

The problem itself is not the country but the quality control and the quality of the materials used by some manufacturers and their low-end product lines.

Now there are plenty of luthiers here in the US who are producing outstanding and jaw-dropping guitars, which is fascinating.

Backplates keep your shirt from being pinched by the springs, keep the springs from being tapped noisily and/or grounded by belt buckles, keep dirt and dust out of moving and greased parts... the list goes on.

Indonesian-made guitars are actually pretty excellent most of the time.

Be careful about calling your guitar a "She", your girlfriend might get jealous and destroy it with a hammer.
