Adjusting your pickup heights etc is an art to be explored before changing them out. Yes some are too hot and some are too weak (I like mine between 7k and 9k myself) but there is a lot of adjustability to change that before you order another expensive magical wire wrapped magnet. If the pickups aren't horrible you can improve with adjustments.

It's hard to tell because the clips of the same pickup positions are so far apart. I doubt they really sound any different, but I'd have to take the audio and put them back to back to really know.

Put Pearly gates in my custom 24 and now puting in Hades gates in my Single cut McCarty.

The pick ups they put in a guitar when you first buy it suck. There always missing that certain sound. I've always wondered how much better it would sound if I put some new pickups from somebody famous. Because right now it sounds good But its missing that certain sound I'm talking about.

Prs tones can be rough and I don't blame the type of pickup. I think its the unique scale length. It ends up sounding wrong for any kinda established type of music. There isn't really a great tradition of that kinda sound in any genre, and the players who have used them tend to sound better using other guitar, Santana mayer opeth etc. I've owned one and it was cool for experimental stuff though, really had its own thing. It just wasn't a thing that made sense for my paying gigs.... An import fender, Gibson, superstrat, etc. can pretty easily make it's money back in bars. When I think of prs I imagine all the years of med school Id need to finish to break even lol

Isn’t the a CE24, not a Custom 24? It has the plain headstock like a CE24.
