If you're just consuming advice and haven't started building anything - you're not working on a startup yet, you're learning and trying to grow your confidence in the hope that at some point soon you can start working, or maybe just procrastinating because it's a big leap. If you're watching a video directly to learn about a specific thing you're dealing with or going to deal with, you're learning about that thing and good for you.

What I do is( as a college student, learning about
Daily 30 mins of advice/knowledge and good chunk of my time should go into ACTUAL GRIND( coding, improving communication skills, or as he said...THE WORK OF BUILDING PRODUCT AND TALKING TO CUSTOMERS).

BALANCE😇

Guilty! The double edged sword of this is you can waste time going in directions and building things that don't work that the advice could have prevented. Balance! Portion time to consume information and time implementing growing business.

I like to call myself watching this video "researching"

Make a thing. Sell the thing.
Improve the thing every time you make the thing. Get better at selling every time you sell the thing.

Anything else is either fluff or of minor importance.

If your startup does not make money and you don’t have customers, then your startup is a hobby.

Preparing all this information, stats, financial reports, etc., that investors need to see.

Should the order be: (1) Talk to potential users (2) Build the product (3) Talk to real users

Does this include learning how to code and reading stack overflow answers?

FINALLY! People ask me "How many books do you read every month?" and I respond "0. Books aren't a good use of time, actually doing things is much more effective learning."

I've never got people's obsession with reading books as some barometer of success.
