Thanks guys. I was struggling with the shanks. Even my half decent shots were on the heel. Every time I start striking the ball well I start to get more confident/aggressive and start lunging at the ball. This tip really helped.

I was going insane trying to fix the swing as I was shanking it and hitting the heel. Tried this drill and boom. Instant fix. Thank you!

Wow why a difference!! I put duct tape on my 8 iron and hit a load. Shaft heel low heel you get the point. Tried this slight change then boom... lovely centre hit and sounded just sweet. Thanks lads

What a great video this is thank you!! I was having an issue with heel strikes recently and I couldn’t seem to figure out why. I have a simulator and a camera and I couldn’t figure it out and what had changed. I never noticed my weight was creeping slightly forward with that right foot towards the ball instead of to target. I pretended there was the alignment stick there as I swung and instantly it was back to center. Brilliant boys.

Thank you. Tried this today the the improvement was unbelievable. Even hit driver high toe ( terrible shot but first time that part of the club ever been used)

Great vid as usual fellas. I know I certainly appreciate all the free help. I hit my driver about 260 avg now thanks to your tips, and my wedge game seems to be up to snuff, but any iron over 9 seems to be really short in comparison. I think the problem is the unlevel ground, any tips/drills for striking, when the ball is above or below the feet? Thanks again keep up the great content.

I absolutely love this idea. Early extension is a difficult concept to convey without some sort of immediate feedback. This is an amazing drill because it gives you a parameter for body movement. Awesome awesome concept.

Great video. On creating my back swing I now pull back on my right shoulder to creat a full 90 degree shoulder turn which naturally pivots my body. At the top of my backswing I now initiate my forward swing with the trigger of quickly rotating the side of my right foot about one half inch inward. My golf swing and the momentum of the golf club does the rest for me allowing me to have the classic finish as seen on your video.

Thanks, guys. Great video. My coach told me today that my right heel lifts too early. Not towards the ball, but towards the target. I am using it to start the hips firing as opposed to the other way around. The drill you showed is awesome. Will use it on my next range session as I work on this fix. Cheers.

Ive got to a pretty decent level (8hcp, 6.7 index) with serious early extension. But I am really struggling off that handicap and my goal is to get lower. Had a couple of lessons but really struggling with feel to keep my weight in the heels and rotating to target as its counter to how I've swung my whole life! going to try this 100%
