That's not the iceberg that hit the Titanic. That iceberg was too far North. The one that hit the Titanic was in a current that brought it South. The red "paint" people saw was the sun refracting on the ice. It's very common for people to see what they think is colour marking ice. There was an iceberg seen by the Carpathia that was most likely the one that struck the Titanic, you can find that photo online. I'm from Belfast, where the Titanic was built and I worked in the Titanic museum. It's long been debunked that this is the Titanic iceberg.
