Not even finished with the series yet I'm already succumbing to the urge to just express my admiration of this masterpiece in the comments. The monopoly of nations is on another level as compared to other mapping videos. The strategies, manipulation, alliances and back-stabbing, finding the righteous cause and the right path to take for the best future for every nation, and even more - all of these materials are just making this masterpiece even better. I can see clear character development in a lot of the nations too. Also, Pomerania's desperate cry for help before finally falling to the communists, Holstein not being trusted when he's telling the truth of the Franco-Soviet alliance, Anhalt back-stabbing Brandenburg and even more scenes like those, are just so exciting and cool. Makes me want to continue watching. Brandenburg is also a really cool main character, having a dream, trying to be in control and being used by others. Idk if Brandenburg is truly good or not at this point but Brandenburg seems like a Brutus to me. Really cool plot and characterisation of nations.

Edit: Just finished watching the whole thing, and IT'S SO GOOD, I did not expect a German defeat tho, but Brandenburg's right, their spirit would live on. This is so good, you know it's good when a fictional scenario's characters' speeches and experiences could sway your heart and feelings. And the other German states helping Brand., the betrayal of the Nazis, Poland being kind but backfired, and the unification of Germany (spiritually eventually) are so emotional. Once again, great job Liquid Lake!
The characterisation of the characters are extremely cool too. France is the one who holds on a grudge for too long and always blames everything on others but himself, taking extreme measures to not have Germany return but kept being deserted and finding the wrong allies, Communist France is the one who made France realise his mistake, Hannover is the one who is selfish and hated but eventually sided with the "good side", Brandenburg is the tragic hero and protagonist of the plot who actually just wishes the welfare of Germany, Bavaria and Poland are the loyal friends, Anhalt is the manipulator who caused all the mess, Mecklenburg (and Koenigsberg, a little bit) are those indifferent and annoying bystanders (for most of the plot) who just make sarcastic comments, though eventually joining the coalition for the greater good, and Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union are the evil antagonists who are the main masterminds and causes of all the chaos in Europe, and a jerk to their allies thinking they are superior, though the former failed while the latter succeeded.
Found out there's a Season 2 tho, hyped for it!

I love how when it zooms in, instead of new zoomed in maps, it gets pixelated, adding an unneeded yet nice 8-bit feel. Again, unneccisary, yet nice

Second thought: "there is no way I'm watching almost two hours of it... maybe 5 or 10 minutes..."

Amazing work. I truly applaud it. It's so well written, all their personalities, their feelings, they are so... real. I'm in love with the series.

Damn this is so terribly good. I remember watching the first episodes and finding them (somehow) a bit boring and leaving this series and now that I've seen it whole i can just say it's a piece of art! New sub, will be waiting for the second season
