Very educational and helpful, congrats. Just two things i believe you should be clarify because i belivie that this video is educational to learn terminology. 1) on columns there no stirrup, only column tie. 2) stirrup are used on beams.

For a 2 storey building, would the rebars need to stop at floor one and some new ones continue from there, or can the rebar run straight from ground to 2nd floor?

I want to build stuctural colums but I want to do it as close as I can to the border line of the property of the house. I know when you build the fudation it has to be square, but can I do it in L shape form since if I do it square I will lose almost two feet of terrein

You need to have at least 3" cover over the rebar. Does this help?
