Sydney tool TV. I'm hoping this question finds you. I have 12 x 1/2" x 100mm depth ~ holes to drill into columns, and I'm sure to hit rebar, some 16mm. I'll start with a pilot hole as accuracy is a must, as I have laser cut SS plates to chemset with 10mm studs. I have a 12mm Kango 4 head cut drill bit. My hammer drill is an 850rpm Ryoby approx 2hp, (Bunnings as is the drill set). In your tutorial, drilling concrete and hitting rebar, My question is, , is your drill in the hammer mode at all times? I need a 3/8s bit for two holes. Too bad i cant rent a bit for 5 minutes bc i wont need it again. Was able to drill one side through concrete then hit rebar on the other side. Got so frustrated until i realized im trying to push through rebar.
