Join me on a full tour of Machu Picchu, the world-famous Inca city in the Andes Mountains of Peru. Often referred to as the "Lost City of the Incas", the ruins of Machu Picchu are the most familiar icon of the Inca Empire.

Located in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting, Machu Picchu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Machu Picchu was built in the 15th centruy and re-discovered over 100 years ago, but archaeologists are still trying to solve the mystery of its purpose.

In my years of travelling I have visited many archaeological sites in Egypt, Italy, Greece, Asia and Mexico. Some of them thousands of years earlier than Machu Picchu and all of them spectacular in their own way. The thing that sets Machu Picchu apart however, is the setting. The breath taking panorama is literally awe inspiring. I must congratulate you on your filming as I can imagine the uneven ground has caused a few twisted ankles over the years. Well done for pointing out the Inca bridge at the end. I was unaware of it's existence.👍

I visited Machu Picchu last year in a sublime april afternoon with wonderful colours and clean air but at all with a great silence and only a few visitors due restrictions. It is one of the places that gets you breathtaking as the same as Torres del Paine in Chilean Patagonia. It`s incredible how this civilization makes this wonderful. Unforgetable trip !!

Just as I remembered it when I was there in July this year. I visited Machu Picchu in the morning (also circuit 2), and when I arrived at the top of the panoramic platform, it was completely cloudy. You literally couldn't see anything, outside the panoramic terrace. And then suddenly the clouds disappeared and the citadel came into view. Truly an indescribable feeling that I will remember forever. It is truly one of the most impressive places I have ever visited. Thank you for this video and for bringing back those wonderful memories! 😃
