Road to Machu Picchu - Peru in 4K

The entire video was shot in 4K, with the Canon 1DC.
The smooth shots were done with a Glidecam HD-4000. You can check out the exact model on their official website here where you can also buy them. I've been shooting with there glidecams for the last 9 years, and love them. They do take a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get past that, it's all smooth!

For those who are interested in the topic of polygonal masonry. A number of methods for obtaining the polygonal masonry are proposed. The basis of the proposed methods is the use of clay/gypsum replicas, a topography translator, and reduced clay models of the stone blocks along with a 3D-pantograph. I walked the Inca trail in 1973, because Comet Kahoutek was completely invisible due to the Rainy Season. We got lost! Took 3 days to find the trail again, and when we came down to Macchu Piccu, there was a tourist group with plastic raincoats just leaving. Then the train line got washed out by a landslide and we were stuck in the hotel for 3 days and had to play cards with the other stranded tourists. It only had 17 rooms then, so there wasn't much variety. We were warned not to spend too much time in the ruins because there was a parasitic insect bite that was prevalent then. I could hardly walk anyway. Finally we got a flatbed truck down to the tracks and my friends put me on their backs and carried me up to Aguas Calientes, where my sore knees were finally rehabilitated. On the way back to Cuzco we spent a day at Ollontay Tambo - it was even more mindblowing!

This incredible. I repeat, Incredible. First I watched this Video in 2015. After that, very often I watch and feel relieved. What a story telling of this video! Definitely a milestone. The background music added another dimension in this video. Just loved it.
