Actually from Cusco you have to take a bus or taxi to Ollantaytambo which takes 2 hours. From Ollantaytambo you board a train that takes 2.5 hours to take you to Aguas Calientes. From Aguas Calientes you take a 30 minute bus ride to Machu Picchu.
