Rob, Rob, Rob... I generally enjoy your content, but you've GOT to get over the idea that Teslas are only good for local driving/errands (since that's apparently all you use yours for) and that charging on the road is SO onerous. They're also fantastic commuter vehicles... even for long-distance commutes. I commute 80 miles/day round trip in my '24 Model 3 LR AWD (which uses less than 30% of its range - so much longer commutes are easily doable) - and it's BY FAR the best vehicle I've ever owned for that purpose in the 40+ years I've been doing it. Extremely quiet, comfortable and FAST - with excellent handling. To your points about charging on the road... it's just a piece of cake. At least for the time being (as the Supercharger network is starting to be opened up to other manufacturers), you RARELY have to wait AT ALL for a charger in most areas. The built-in "Trip Planner" software is really good... it knows where you're going, how you're driving, where all the Superchargers are, and how busy they are - and will calculate exactly when/where you need to charge - efficiently routing you to a Supercharger that is available if at all possible (which it will be the VAST majority of the time). It works VERY well. Now, obviously when you get there, you WILL have to wait 20-30 minutes on average while your vehicle charges. That said, MOST people don't mind getting out of the car and taking a short break after driving roughly FIVE HOURS or so... but if you're an absolute road WARRIOR -- and ONLY care about getting to your destination as quickly (if not comfortably) as humanly possible, then yes, a Tesla may not be the best choice. But even then... how many truly long-distance trips like that does the average person make in a year? I know there are exceptions... people who do them MANY times/year... but for the AVERAGE person... One? Two MAX? I think it would EASILY be worth moderating their hardcore long distance driving schedule for those one or two trips/year in exchange for all of the many other benefits a Tesla gives you the whole rest of the year. I'd really like to see you take a long trip in your Tesla and document it for the channel - even though you have one of the shorter-range models, I think it would work just fine... and would be interesting/informative for your viewers.
