I understand the points here but it brings up a question for me. If the purpose of life is to know yourself, accept, love, and be, why does Roger put forth this continuous and massive effort to travel the world as a spiritual teacher? At first glance Roger's efforts seem similar to starting a business or working for the benefit of others, living a life of service in order to achieve something for the future. I want to understand how Roger's efforts are done with a different attitude that is simply based on "being." What is that attitude? How can one receive peace of mind and just be in a way that is consistent with the tremendous efforts it takes to travel the world as a spiritual teacher. I would really like to understand this better.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I feel this inner peace continues, but the problem is that I no longer feel the other emotions, positive or negative. Everything has flattened out on this tranquility which is pleasant but also very boring. I begin to doubt that the purpose of life is simply to be and nothing else. If enlightenment is this flattening, then I am truly sorry I took this path.

when my friends get demotivated and start questioning me this
I ask them

would you prefer if your life had a purpose?
what if that purpose was something you didn't agree with like fighting in the front lines of a world war for an extremist regime you thought wrong and disgusting

everyone wants to have a great purpose in life
being the one to cure cancer
being the president of USA
I say it's more likely to end up mediocre because there are more humans around nowadays

or what if the purpose you were told was not your true purpose
so you did everything according to what you were expecting but didn't get what you thought you deserved
wouldn't that be disappointing?

why follow your purpose? even if you did something great since it was your purpose and no one else's you just did what you were supposed to do the same way a waiter is supposed to attend to you

I think you shouldn't think on purpose because you can never know what it is
it might be the worst purpose you'd never want and that's why you should give up that idea of fate and embrace the idea of choosing what you want

like to help people, to eat when you're hungry, to teach or to have freaky sex
just do what you want, but bear in mind your actions have consequences
and that your purpose doesn't exist, you might even have completed it without your knowing

Life sucks, there's nothing good about it outside of what different ones create in their own imagination. It's a sluggish 3D world where we have these horribly gross, thick, heavy bodies and pathetic weak intellects, hell, we can't ven fly, let alone walk through walls. Who designed this shit, seriously ? The sooner it finishes the better (and I have a wonderful life by all accounts)
