What is the purpose of Street Photography Festivals & Galleries?

In late September 2021 a big photo festival (Photopia) was held in Hamburg, Germany. Taking part of that Festival was the second German Street Phtography Festival. But there was also another event happening at the Meister Camera Store that was a little bit more interesting... Here is a video about our experience of that day and why we chose to go to the smaller event instead. Enjoy.

This was a very special day for us street photographers in germany and our whole german community as well. It was also very nice to meet you in real life. Wow I didn't know there was street photography festivals. The hobby has definitely come a long way, when I was aware of it on the internet 17-18 years ago or so it was just a tiny niche of a handful of people.
