SMG didn't hate Buffy but she tired off it, it was a huge workload for her and she wasn't happy with the Spuffy storyline in the 6th season, not the last season which was the 7th. I think she walked at the right time, she was done and left the show whilst it was still a winner.

Some of these complaints make me laugh. You are an actor, you land an iconic role, it makes you famous, people love you, and you make lots of money. And you HATE it? If you do a really good job at acting and get alot of luck, this is what you are aiming for. If you don't like it, don't be an actor!

SMG has gone on record saying she liked the role of Buffy a lot and Alyson cleared up what she said on Watch What Happens saying that SMG was the most tired as she was in every scene and had to film nights and weekends. Also, she was on the show for 7 seasons and did not like the direction of the sixth season, which was not the final season.

Oh for heavens sake! No one held a gun to these silly people’s head. They could have easily quit. They sure didn’t turn down the money did they! As far as “no liking being famous”! Isn’t that the whole point about being a movie actor? If they don’t want to be famous try being a first responder like a policeman or EMT fire fighter, or a nurse or physician or a health care worker, maybe a teacher. Even though these people actually contribute to society and do something that makes a difference and help people they are NEVER famous or rich. (Except physicians, they are rich)

Why were people so shocked about the affair between Harrison and Carrie. The chemistry was there. Carrie looked love struck in photo shoots with Harrison. I always thought that something happened between them.
